Day 9 - Montreal to Ottawa

Today we traveled from Montreal to Ottawa. We left the hotel around 11am for the relatively short trip - only 109 miles this time. Check in time was at 3pm so we tried to make a couple of small stops so that we won't arrive very early.

The trip was the most scenic of all so far. The day was rainy but the drive was still beautiful. Everything around us was green. There were tall evergreens in both sides of the road and we saw for the first time moose crossing warning signs.

We made two stops - Dunkin' Donuts and Wendy's for lunch. We made it to the hotel around 2pm.

The hotel this time is closer to the downtown than Toronto and Montreal. It is very nice and the room is huge compared to the other two we have been in - the Toronto room was the smallest, the Montreal room was bigger, and this one is a treat.

By 6pm the clouds cleared out and a nice sun came up. The forecast for tomorrow is very nice. The plan is to drive close to the center of the city where the Parliament - Ottawa is the capital of Canada - and other sights we plan to visit are.

We ordered dinner from the hotel and the donuts were a nice touch after dinner. We are all resting now for the walk we plan to take tomorrow.
